Reflexology is a method for activating the healing powers of the body. It is both old and new, from Ancient texts, illustrations and artefacts we know that the early Chinese, Japanese, Indians, Russians and Egyptians worked on feet to promote good health. Today many of these same techniques have been developed into a modern scientific method called Reflexology.


Everyday stress cannot be avoided, we live with it and itself stress in neither good or bad , infact it can be a useful motivator. Stress becomes a problem when we fail to manage it well. When we don't handle stress well, the body's defences break down and we become more susceptible to illness and disease. Reflexology reduces stress by  generating deep, tranquil relaxation. Many clients routinely fall asleep during a reflexology session and upon waking feel that that brief sleep was more beneficial than a full night of restless sleep. Reflexology also helps to improve circulation, cleanse the body of toxins and impurities, revitalise and boost energy levels and balances the whole body's system.


Reflexology can be particularly helpful to help mitigate the symptoms of peri menopause. Studies have shown that it can help to reduce vasomotor symptoms such as hot flushes, reduce stress and aid sleep.

Janine will discuss treatment options as part of the consultation and follow up. 


On your first visit it will be necessary to add approximately 20 minutes to the treatment session. This will allow time for a thorough consultation with Janine to take place. You will be asked details about your general lifestyle including personal details, diet, sleeping patterns, medical history and stress levels. This will enable the most effective treatment plan to be determined.
